Honoree | Kell McInnis
The Baton Rouge Ducks Unlimited Committee has put together another evening of fellowship and festivities as we gather together to celebrate our very own Kell McInnis III, a friend and long-time advocate for coastal protection and restoration.
Since his first hunt with his father in 1955, Kell has been a passionate and active member of the waterfowling community. In 1973, he began his long-standing membership with DU, where he has served on the Sponsor Committee for 41 years and attended many conferences and banquets at DU chapters across North America. He has held numerous positions of leadership, including both South Region and State chairman.
Joining the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation in 2006, Kell has served as Executive Director for 11 years, allowing him to use his passions to serve the community he has long been a part of. During his tenure as Executive Director, LWFF has contributed to the development of two major conservation projects as a heritage sponsor and Diamond Benefactor.
Although no longer able to walk the marsh as he used to, Kell relishes the opportunities he gets to see the sun rise as the wings whistle above, and the moments he has with his son and grandson to pass along his passion for coastal conservation.
